I have a Siberian Husky that is too rowdy for my little dogs. I want her to have a home that she can have someone run with her, rollerblade with her or ride their bike with her running alongside. She loves to go for walks and travels well. She is almost 3 yrs.old and is current on vaccinations and Heartguard preventative. She has been fed Blue Buffalo, a natural food, so she is in great health. I will miss her, but I want her to happy and be able to rough house another big dog, so she doesn't always have to hear be easy, or gentle. She also will pull a wagon and loves to pull my mini dox around the neighborhood. She is kennel trained and housetrained. She loves to lie at your feet when inside. She loves people and other dogs. If you know of someone that has a need for a pack dog , then email me at micasan2@yahoo.com, or send me an email through Animal Attraction.

it actually sounds like your husky is quite happy right where she is. while you're looking for a new home for her, maybe try training her to be more gentle w/your smaller dogs. during the times that her behavior is exactly how you want it, give her a treat and praise her. practice the commands: "come" and "sit" and "stay" w/o the other dogs around and use those commands when she gets too rough. those are the most basic of commands so i know you can do it, and if you need help, just post here and someone will walk you through it. when you practice those commands alone, give her a treat reward, but never award her w/treats when you're doing it to enforce play restrictions. she will soon learn that being too rough stops play and that being gentle not only allows it to continue, but gets your approval.
a lot of people think that b/c bigger dogs play rougher, thats what they need to be happy. this isn't true - its not about the force of the bite or knocking down the smaller dog, its about exercise and enjoying the other dogs company. all dogs, big or small, are just as happy w/gentle play as they are full-on rough-housing. take for example my dog, the most fun shes ever had playing w/another animal was when she played w/my ferret, and even though she was mammoth in comparison to him, she was as gentle as if it were a new born baby.
