We rescued a teacup poodle named Kissy. At the time she was 9 years old. She lived until she was 14. We could not figure ot what was making her so sleepy so took her to the vet. They put her on a doggy type Geritol. When that didn't work and Kissy stopped eating, they found that she needed a transfusion however, Her body stopped making it's own red blood cells. How I wish we had her for a longer period of time. She was the ideal pet and my first experience with a poodle. Kissy died 9-9-08 and crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Now our part lab, Dutch, age 14 is at the vet's office for many tests and we will find out the verdict on him I don't know if we can go through this so soon after losing Kissy. It is so hard to let your pets go but even though it is for tthe best,. Our job is to do what is right for your pets. We do have a new toy poodle pup we named Grace, age 10 weeks. She is "in love" with Dutch and will be lost if we lose him too. She hugs him and lays down beside him and gives him kisses. It is so cute to watch. |
